For the first 25 years of my life, I lived in a small south western Ontario community called Walton. My parents taught us six children some very important life lessons. The greatest of which they taught by example – A living reality of what it means to trust God. They wanted each of their children to appreciate what Jesus Christ did when He died on the Cross at Calvary.

I owned a Bible. I memorized special sayings of the Bible. I could even tell others the basic message of the Bible, yet I did not know personally the Author of the Holy Bible - God Almighty. My sins of rebellion, selfishness, pride, disobedience, foolishness and perversion caused me to be separated from God, and I knew it.

When I was a boy of eleven, I became very convicted that my sins were not pleasing to God. I did not wish to die in my sin and suffer eternally, I wanted God to forgive me of my sin so I could know for sure that I was going to be in heaven. One morning, June 5th, 1989, I was alone, convinced of my need of Jesus to save me, I just simply trusted Jesus. I understood and I believed that Jesus died for my sins, suffering in my place.

I was very, very happy because the guilt of my sin, and the fear that I had of God’s judgment was removed. God saved me from my sins.

As a young man, I traveled to South and Central America learning Spanish and helping some Christian Missionaries. It was on these trips that God first placed a love in my heart for people of another culture and opened my mind to the possibility of Missionary work. I asked God to guide me and use me wherever He wanted.

In March of 2003 I moved to Nicaragua. The following year, Brenda and I were married. We live in Nicaragua and together we serve God by sharing the message of God’s love and forgiveness. We are very thankful for this privilege. God is saving each one who believes.

Brenda and I recognize that God is working in our lives. As we walk with the Lord, His Holy Spirit is forming us to be more like Jesus. We pray that God will help us be good examples to our two little boys, and also to the people of the Republic of Nicaragua.
